Frenuloplasty is a minor outpatient microsurgery that does not disrupt the patient's daily routine. In this article, I discuss the surgical experience and the recovery timeline in our clinic in Adana.
Frenuloplasty Surgical Procedure
Performed under local anesthesia in our sterile clinic, a microscopic transverse incision is made on the short frenulum to lengthen it. The wound is closed using self-absorbing aesthetic sutures. The procedure takes about 15-20 minutes.
Postoperative Recovery Guidelines
Patients can walk out immediately. Mild soreness for the first 1-2 days is managed with oral analgesics. Sutures dissolve completely within 2 weeks, during which sexual activities must be avoided.
